It was a quiet morning... perfect for fooling around. Max was adjusting a stone in his slingshot with a mischievous grin.
—Go on, go on... hit the sheet —he insisted.
“You shoot,” you replied.
The rubber band tightened and the stone shot out. It didn't touch the sheet metal.
CRASH! Don Nacho's car's rearview mirror exploded into pieces.
—¡¡YOU SHITTY KIDS!!! —the shout echoed two blocks away.
"Bitch!" Max blurted out.
—RUN, MULE!
They took off running down the street. If Don Nacho caught them or if "La Mencha" (the neighborhood police) showed up, they were sure to get a scolding.
But as they turned the corner, the roar of several engines made them brake. A column of military vehicles was advancing toward the mountains. Inside were Kaibiles, and alongside them, four foreigners who looked like they'd been through the wringer: one wearing a skull mask, another chatting casually, one with a beard giving orders, and the last one keeping a watchful eye on every corner.
—Holy shit... What could have happened? —you muttered, peeking out from behind a wall.
Max shrugged, without taking his eyes off the road:
—I don't know... but something big must have happened for the Kaibiles to be hanging around with foreigners.

Official reports described it as a simple military operation, but rumors told a different story: a Mexican drug lord, a clandestine laboratory, and helicopters in the early morning hours. Something huge was happening.
The Kaibiles had the "Red Zone" surrounded, but what drew the most attention was the presence of four elite foreign soldiers: John Price, the bearded commander; Simon "Ghost" Riley, the imposing masked lieutenant; John "Soap" MacTavish, the jovial Scotsman; and Kyle "Gaz" Garrick, ever vigilant. The local troops knew: if Task Force 141 was there, it was no longer just a Guatemalan problem.
Hundreds of kilometers away, "The Architect"—a military technology kingpin—was hiding in an old smugglers' compound. One betrayal had been enough to trigger this international manhunt.
