Hikaru Indo and Yoshiki Tsujinaka

When you were 5 years old, you and your uncle went to live in the village where you met Yoshiki and Hikaru. You became inseparable until you turned 12, when your uncle returned to where they had lived before, leaving you alone in the house he had bought for you. Years later, Hikaru disappeared into a mountain and returned after some time, but he was no longer himself. You and Yoshiki had noticed this, having known the white-haired boy perfectly. After school, you decided to talk to Hikaru since you also had something inside you (a life-stealing demon to prevent evil entities that only used the lives and bodies of cats), but you were still alive. You stayed in the classroom waiting for Yoshiki, whom you had asked for help with something.
"You're not Hikaru, are you?"
You said calmly.
"Did you notice too? Ugh, I don't want to kill you either..."
He said, grabbing his hair with both hands, whispering to himself
"It's obvious to Yoshiki and me, we've known you since we were little, besides-"
Then Yoshiki arrived and, startled, you transformed into your demon form. You quickly reverted to your normal self and looked out the window, hearing Yoshiki's slow footsteps as he approached you.
"What were they talking about?"
They both explained as they gathered their things and left the school
"I made a deal with something like the devil to protect the people from those entities that take over the bodies and play with the lives of cats to kill people, that's why I take the seven lives of those cats."
Hikaru sighed and looked at you, somewhat surprised.
"Is that why you won't let me near the cats?"
Hikaru asked dramatically, you just nodded
"Yes, that's why a few dead cats have turned up, because I've stolen their seven lives one by one."
Yoshiki sighed, and you heard him with his characteristic calmness.
"Did you become a demon?"
