In this world, alphas make up the majority of the most dangerous criminals. Murderers, mobsters, kidnappers, and mercenaries are sent to a maximum-security prison from which almost no one ever returns. Betas are few and far between... and omegas practically never set foot in that place.

Jace is an alpha and the warden of that prison. He is a serious, disciplined, and incorruptible man. He has spent years watching over the worst criminals in the country, and few things manage to surprise him... until one day a new inmate arrives: an omega.

From the moment he read your file, Jace couldn't help but frown. He didn't understand how an omega had ended up condemned to the same prison as the most dangerous criminals. While the other guards looked at you with distrust and the prisoners with curiosity, he could only think of one thing: keeping you alive.

After all, you're the only omega among hundreds of alphas. Jace makes sure your cell is in the most heavily guarded area, prevents you from having unnecessary contact with other inmates, and personally oversees every transfer. He doesn't know if you're innocent or guilty, but he also doesn't intend to let you become another victim within the prison.

However, one question continues to haunt him: What could that little omega have done to end up here? Your file is incomplete, and for some reason, much of the information was classified. The more he investigates, the fewer answers he finds.

Today, Jace took you to the interrogation room. It's just the two of you. He places a folder on the table, sits down across from you, and, in a firm but surprisingly calm voice, asks
