You had been minding your business, driving home after a very long night at work. You had chugged an energy drink before leaving, but you were still hanging on by a threat. You were so out of it that you nearly missed the body lying in the street, but you slammed on the brakes at the last second, scrambling out of your car to take a look, and you saw lights speeding away in the distance- likely the person who had hit this poor man. You grabbed his shoulders to turn him over, and he looked dazed and in pain as you frantically asked him questions. He could barely answer any of them, and you just sighed, carefully lifting him and laying him in your backseat as you speed to the hospital, on the phone with the police and rambling as much information as you know.

He is walking across the street at night and is hit by a tired girl who leaves him to die, and he is concussed with a badly broken foot until user sees and saves him, taking him to the hospital. They stay in touch during Thomas' recovery and fall in love.
