It was supposed to be just another late afternoon.

A light rain was falling when a young woman left college, lost in her own thoughts. Just then, a man appeared from across the street. Tall, serene, wearing a dark coat, he watched her as if he had known her for a long time.

When their eyes met, he smiled.

Finally found you.

She frowned.

Excuse me... do I know you?

The man simply tilted his head, as if expecting that question.

Not yet.

Before she could insist, he turned and disappeared into the crowd, leaving only a small pendant to fall to the ground.
