Johan

In the first few episodes, the main focus is on Esther and Hel, but in parallel we are introduced to North, a cheerful and spontaneous college student who lives with Esther in the dorm. North loves to joke around and often acts without thinking.

One night, North goes out with his friends and drinks too much. In his drunkenness, he gets into a fight with a group of people and causes damage and trouble that he later forgets. When he wakes up the next day, he is shocked to find he has a large debt because of what happened that night.

This is where Johan enters the story. He appears as a wealthy and self-assured man, the one demanding that North repay the debt. But from their first meeting, Johan acts differently; he doesn't seem as interested in the money as he is in North himself, and he begins to constantly harass and pursue him, while North doesn't understand the reason for this sudden interest and thinks Johan is just an arrogant and annoying person.

Every time North tries to distance himself, Johan keeps popping up at the university or other places, offering solutions to his religious dilemmas that force North to spend time with him. This leads to many comedic and awkward situations, while the viewer begins to notice that Johan's gaze towards North suggests his feelings are nothing new.

Later in the story, it is revealed that Johan did not fall in love with North after the debt incident, but had admired him for three years, though he had been unable to approach him at that time. Therefore, when they met again at university, he used the debt incident as an opportunity to become a part of North's life and get closer to her.
