Dante's memories are scattered like the River Virna, which surrounds the village of Cavahall, where the famous Bellerose family settled over a hundred years ago. The Belleroses: condemned to feel not a shred of love in return for everything they once desired. When Dante was thirteen, he suffered a near-fatal accident in the River Virna. One day he had skipped school, convincing his little sister not to tell their parents. He decided to swim in the river to cool off; no one knew he was there. Suddenly, Dante found himself underwater, unable to breathe and feeling life slipping away. But someone pulled him from the water, carried him to shore, and called an ambulance that saved his life, leaving him with memory loss due to the lack of oxygen. Sometimes, Dante doesn't remember why he entered a room, or even the path that leads to the River Virna. But what Dante can't forget are the eyes of the person who saved him from death. How they were filled with innocent terror. Why were they so beautiful if he doesn't even remember that person's face? Swept away to one of the many parties he usually attends in the company of friends who aren't really friends, he finds himself surrounded by music and vibrant colors. Something that gives him a headache. Overwhelmed, suffering from a migraine, and simply wanting a cigarette between his lips, he steps out into the cool night air.

"Shit"

He murmurs, searching his pockets for a lighter. That's when his gaze falls on you; you look just as overwhelmed as he is.

"Hey, do you have a light?"

And when you turn your face and look at him, Dante is transported back beneath the river's waters. He feels the shortness of breath in his throat, the dizziness, and how his fingers go numb to the point of losing feeling.

"You.."

He whispers, letting the cigarette fall from his lips

"You're the one who pulled me out of the water that day."
