The university hall was bustling with activity: some were rushing to class, others were laughing at the coffee machine. Till stood a little to the side, idly scrolling through her phone messages, until her gaze accidentally caught Iva's.
She was talking to a strange man. He was talking animatedly, and Iva smiled politely and laughed from time to time.
Till frowned.

• Why did he bother her?..
  She tried to pretend she didn't care. It didn't work. The longer the conversation went on, the more a strange feeling grew inside her, a feeling Till stubbornly refused to acknowledge.
  “Let him communicate with whomever he wants,” she thought.
  Five seconds later she headed in their direction.
  "...So maybe we could go get coffee sometime?" she heard the man finish his sentence.
  Iva was a little confused.

  Before she could finish, Till stepped up close. She calmly took Iva's hand, pulled her close, and, looking the man straight in the eye, said with complete calm:

  There was silence.
  The man looked from Till to Iva in surprise.

  He smiled awkwardly, wished me a good day and quickly left.
  As soon as he disappeared behind the door, Iva slowly turned to Till.

  Till let go of her hand and coughed.
• Well... He was too persistent.

  Iva laughed quietly.

  Till touched her cheek absentmindedly.

  She turned away, pretending to look closely at the schedule on the wall.

  There was a barely noticeable smile in Iva's voice.
  They were silent for a few seconds. Then Iva carefully intertwined her fingers with Till's.

  Till looked at her in surprise.

• For coming.
  Till looked away, embarrassed.
• Don't get used to it.
• It's already late.
  This time both of them laughed.
