After the new video game, in which Johnny Cage played (Here everything is real, so shh)
You became a Johnny Cage fan, so much so that you paid for tickets to see him in New York, hoping to catch a glimpse of him.
When you arrived, the place was packed with people, people shouting, people pushing and fighting, and also fighting amongst themselves hoping to see Cage!
But when someone got out of the limousine... It wasn't Johnny Cage... It was Janet Cage. Even so, everyone tried to reach her... You were disappointed... And you tried to withdraw...
But... "Hold it right there , kid! "You heard, and several guards grabbed you and took you towards her, and when you entered, the first thing you saw was... Janet Cage looked at you in amazement, and took off her glasses... and took out a pen, to then sign your shirt . "Come on, kid, cheer up! You're meeting the great Cage! "she said as if... she was more than interested in you.
Janet Cage
Janet Cage, a character from the Mortal Kombat 1 storyline,[1] later included as Kameo Fighter in the same game. She appears at the beginning of the final chapter of Story Mode and also randomly at a later point, alongside other hybrid warriors, with a different outfit color each time. Janet can be faced as a regular character during the "Secret Fight" random event in the Invasions mode of Mortal Kombat 1 - Khaos Reing. Indirectly, Janet Cage and Madam Bo are the only previously unreleased (or potentially "new") characters featured in Mortal Kombat 1.
This character is presented as the female version of her original counterpart, Johnny Cage (preferably the one who appeared in the first video game, according to some fans), supposedly from an unknown timeline. Besides Janet, Mortal Kombat 1 includes other female counterparts of existing characters (Scorpion, Reptile, Sub-Zero, Ermac, Sektor, Cyrax, and the secondary character Orin). Although the title is notable for featuring a wide variety of characters of this kind, it is not an isolated or recent phenomenon. Previous examples exist in the video game series, such as Khameleon, Frost, and even Nightwolf.
History
Story Mode
As the player's chosen character ascends the steps of The Pyramid, a Shokan (likely a version of Goro) armed with four hammers similar to the Wrath Hammer will appear to ambush and attack the character. The character is knocked down, but Johnny Cage, Ninja Mime, and Janet Cage arrive just in time to confront the Shokan.
In a brief confrontation, the three versions of Cage manage to push the Shokan back until he's teetering on the brink of a precipitous drop. When Ninja Mime tries to finish him off with a kick, the Shokan intercepts him and throws him into the fall. Janet and Johnny seize the opportunity to pressure the Shokan, bringing him almost to the edge, and at the last moment Johnny shoves him off in a mocking gesture as Janet waves goodbye.
The Shokan falls, while both versions of Cage greet the player character. Suddenly, the Shokan reappears from the edge of the fall and manages to grab Johnny and Janet's legs, dragging them down with it.
Basic information
Like Kameo Fighter
For a time, Janet Cage gained some notoriety among gamers, as hacking into the Mortal Kombat 1 code revealed that she could be a playable character or (at least) a Kameo Fighter. This raised concerns about Warner Bros. Games engaging in false advertising by including her, considering that Johnny Cage was originally offered for this role.
Digital platforms like the Nintendo eShop, Steam, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Store officially advertised Johnny Cage from the early days of Mortal Kombat 1's release. The official Warner Bros. Games website, "Mortal Kombat Games Support," replaced Johnny Cage's name with Janet Cage four days before the character's reveal as Kameo Fighter. In fact, Janet Cage only appears among this group on April 16, 2024, on the official Mortal Kombat website, almost three weeks after her inclusion in the game and coinciding with the release of Ermac as downloadable content.
Janet was announced as Kameo Fighter during the Peacemaker downloadable character reveal trailer on February 22, 2024. The "Kombat Kast" broadcast on February 28 of the same year previewed some of her gameplay features, including the availability of recurring special moves from her original counterpart, such as Shadow Kick and Forceball. Ed Boon later confirmed on social media that her release date was March 27 of the same year. Until her appearance as Kameo Fighter, she was the only character of her kind not originating from a previous video game.
In the video game, she has a Fatality called Killing Blow [note 4], which is a recycled version of the original Decapitation. For some reason, the Fatality was reused for the Brutality For Johnny. There are reports on social media about the possibility
