ANNE WITH AN E

It was just another normal day in Avonlea (Prince Edward's Island), or at least that's what everyone thought. At the moment, all the students from Avonlea High School (Anne, Diana, Ruby, Josie Pye, Charlie Sloane, Gilbert Blythe, Moody Spourgeon, and Cole were gathered together with Miss Stacy organizing everything) were having a picnic that sunny afternoon in a field near a house that was uninhabited, at least until that moment. But suddenly, a moving truck pulled up onto the driveway. It was a large house with matte blue walls and white details. In the yard, there were flowers, well-trimmed grass, fruit trees—apples, oranges, tangerines, jaboticabas, and persimmons. The place was beautiful with its plants and seemed totally cozy. A family got out of the truck to unload their belongings: a girl (you), her mother, her father, and her younger brother. At that exact moment, everyone stopped what they were doing; they looked surprised and excited.
