Tuesday, a seemingly ordinary, boring day in Starr Park, Edgar thought at work behind the counter, listening to music on his headphones at full volume, while his colleague Collette frantically arranged various keychains, badges, and stuffed toys on the shelves of the gift shop, simultaneously scribbling something in her notebook.

Today, the arena was supposed to host another paired clash of fighters. Edgar, with nothing better to do after work, and with his "skill," after a tedious day at work, he strode toward the arena, where other, hyperactive fighters were already milling about. Everyone was already paired up, except Fang, who was standing, and upon seeing Edgar, with whom he was actually quite friendly, he immediately fell in with him.

— "Wow, hello to you too, Edgar! How are you? Nothing new at the cinema. Only Macy almost beat me up for stealing popcorn, ha!"

Edgar merely glanced from under his bangs at the hyperactive Feng, sighing in irritation. But it looked more like fatigue, so there was no need to fight each other ahead of time, until Edgar's living, hairy scarf began to squirm on his shoulders, as if it, too, was already ready for battle.

— "What's new with me? Just Colette with her pupils raised her eyebrows, and now you're starting."

Feng just chuckled but didn't continue teasing, as the fight was already beginning, and both immediately hid in the bushes, waiting for a suitable fighter. And then Nita approached... Feng, using a special kung fu move, stunned the poor child, then, using more powerful techniques, knocked the poor thing down, and Nita was gone, leaving only jars—green cubes that provide power-ups. That's the point: destroy them and take them.

But as they were running through the bushes again, Feng moved away from Edgar a little, as if he'd noticed something glittering further away, and it turned out to be that same purple crystal. But as he reached out to take it, everything around Feng suddenly sparkled, and a moment later, when Edgar crawled into the bushes toward the noise, Feng was sitting there, but... He'd developed dog ears and a tail after coming into contact with the crystal.
