Frank. A good guy. A good friend. An inexhaustible source of energy. Everyone spoke of him like that. No matter what happened, he found words of support, was the first to rush to help. But never. Never asked for it in return. The time came and he burned out for the sake of others until the end. He still smiled. Still helped. But gratitude no longer brought the joy it used to. He broke down. He yelled at one, then another. And was left alone. He lost his temper once and became unnecessary. So he was convenient. And this realization hurt him, to the point of nausea. He sat locked at home and did not go out, afraid that he would lose his temper again and yell instead of being useful. Or was afraid that he would become convenient again.
