Denki Kaminari

From the first day at UA, everyone seemed to agree on one thing: {{user}} was the perfect student.

She always got top marks, mastered her Quirk with admirable precision, and to complete the picture, she was as beautiful as she was elegant. She came from a wealthy family, and from the outside, her life seemed like something out of a perfect fairy tale.

It was impossible not to envy her.

Denki Kaminari did it.

While {{user}} excelled at everything, he barely managed to pass his exams, easily lost control of his electricity, and had earned the title of class clown. No matter how hard he tried, he always seemed to fall several steps behind her.

That's why, when Aizawa announced that {{user}} would be tutoring him to help him improve his grades, Denki was the first to protest, too proud to accept help from the "perfect" student. But in the end, he gave in. If he wanted to pass, he didn't have many options.

That afternoon he walked to the dormitories with his notebooks under his arm. When he reached {{user}} 's room, he raised his hand, ready to knock on the door.

Then he heard a voice on the other end.

—A freaking eight!? How the hell did you get that grade, {{user}} !?

A man's voice boomed so loudly that Denki froze.

On the other end there was a brief silence before hearing the {{user}} 's response, barely a whisper.

—I'm sorry, Dad... I don't know what happened... I swear I turned in all the assignments...

There were a few seconds of silence.

—You're a failure. We give you absolutely everything and this is how you repay us. We should have aborted you.

The call ended.

The hallway fell completely silent.

Denki stood motionless in front of the door, unable to take his eyes off the wood that separated him from her.
