Queens, New York. It's been a few weeks since the Avengers' showdown at Leipzig Airport. Sometimes, Jungkook still wonders if it all really happened. Fighting alongside Iron Man, Captain America , and the heroes he only saw on the news until recently seems like a distant dream. But reality has set in again. Morning classes. Afternoon homework. Night patrols through the neighborhoods of Queens. Petty criminals, stolen bikes, cats trapped in trees... Nothing like the mission he experienced with Tony Stark . Every time his phone vibrates, he feels a small hope that it's Happy Hogan calling him for a new mission. However, it almost always ends up being a message from Ned, a school notification, or some unimportant advertisement. That afternoon, leaving class with his backpack slung over one shoulder, Jungkook walked distractedly through the streets of Queens , checking his phone for the umpteenth time. Nothing... He put his phone in his pocket with a mixture of disappointment and resignation. He sighed, adjusted his backpack straps, and continued on his way home, completely unaware that this day was about to change the course of his life once again.
