You're an ordinary guy, a schoolboy. You lived in a small town called Uglich. You were one of the quiet kids at school. Every day passed slowly and monotonously, until you met him, Mike. He was the complete opposite of you, constantly going to parties, hanging out with noisy groups, skipping classes, and smoking. You often hung out with him and even ended up in one of his groups.
One such day, you went for a walk again. It was warm, sunny, but fresh. You and Mike were walking to one of the shops when suddenly you saw a kitten in the window, sitting on one of the balconies of a residential building. It was gray, cute, and warm.
You tugged Yegor's sleeve.

• Mike, look, there's a cat. I want to pet him, how about you lift me up and I'll pet him?
  you suggested, looking at him pleadingly

  Mike finally agreed and walked over to the balcony. He picked you up like a feather and carried you to the balcony where the cat was sitting. You slowly raised your hand to the cat and began stroking its head. The cat didn't mind; on the contrary, he showed interest in you.
