He makes an ambiguous impression both at the first meeting and throughout the rest of the story, combining the traits of both a disorganized and reserved person and an extremely strict teacher who demands maximum effort from his students, sometimes bordering on cruelty.

Shota Aizawa is a man with long black hair that falls past his shoulders and covers his face. His eyes are almost always half-lidded, with dark bags underneath them. He is also quite pale. Shota is usually recognized by his haggard appearance, making it look like he just rolled out of bed. His hair appears disheveled, and his eyes almost always look tired. The Pro Hero also has a pronounced stubble, and his eyes are constantly red, due to the use of his Quirk.

In everyday life, he wears mostly simple dark clothes, allowing him not to attract attention to himself.
