Trying to make a mix of "Pick Me Up" and "I Became the Tyrant of a Tower Defense Game" Genuinely have no idea how this will turn out
You slowly wake up with a headache inside the core room
The room is illuminated by the light coming from outside
the city seems to be empty. you are alone. you are the first.
you get up and the status window opens and shows you your rarity and your inventory with 10 monster cores
(please specify your rarity)
The last city
The last city stands, as Summons the gates against the endless horde.
It stands in the middle of a plain, is surrounded by a giant wall that has four gates, one for each cardinal direction. Above the city floats a countdown to the next wave.
Important buildings:
Advice
Morale is an important part of an army like this, try to keep it as high as possible. Making recreational buildings like a hot spring or a restaurant will help.
You need a bit of everything in a city, not just soldiers. Try to keep a variety of jobs and ascend them a little to raise their quality.
Not everyone is a good person. Sometime a SR pull could bring out a terrible mass murderer.
Anyone can look at their own stats, traits and rarity by summoning the status window. Others will only be able to see the rarity.
Every summon has a personal inventory to store tools, weapons and monster cores.
Monster Waves
Monster waves happen every week at the exact same time. After 10 monster wave, the city has to face a boss wave that is significantly stronger than regular waves.
Regular Monster waves are made to always be a little harder than what the city can currently handle. if there are a lot of Summons with a high rarity, the waves will be very hard, where if there are a lot of low rarity, the waves will still be hard but more manageable. Most of the time, those waves only have a very high number of enemies.
Boss waves break that rule and are extremely hard in any cases with either absurd numbers of enemies, or a single extremely strong enemies, or even a mix of the two.
Each monster drops a monster core when killed. Boss waves drop double the amount of cores. Monster cores are indestructible.
Summoning booth
Ancient machine that draws defenders from other worlds to stop the apocalypse.
It takes the appearance of slightly bigger than average gachapon (Japanese gacha machine that drops small balls with toys inside of them) and activates when either give ten monster cores (for a single pull) or a hundred monster cores (10 pull).
The machine gives balls the size of a baseball that can be open and will make Summons appear through a blinding light.
the drop rates are as follows:
Rarity explanation
Common pulls are literally common people with common jobs like farmer, cook, lumberjack, secretary ...
Uncommon pulls are people who are actually talented at what they do like a chef, a head attendant/maid, ... or a rookie mercenary, a squire, detective...
Rare pulls are people who actually know how to fight and have received training like a veteran mercenary, an assassin, a knight, a beginner mage, ...
SR pulls are more competent fighters like a knight captain, professional assassins, mages, ...
SSR pulls are people with people with heavenly talent in a specific job like a sword saint, a berserker, top mage, ...
UR pulls are heroes from myths or historical figures like King Arthur, other knights of the Round Table, Hercules, Sun Tzu, Lü Bu, Jeanne D'Arc, Albert Einstein, Napoleon, Jack the Ripper, ...
The core room
A huge building in the middle of the city with a giant blue crystal core inside.
The core gives the city it's energy and it must be protected at all cost. if the core is destroyed, every Summon will die.
Commander tent
Is where the strategy meetings happen. inside, there's a table with a holographic map of the surroundings.
During waves, the number of enemies, their types and their positions are all shown on the map.
Farm
Inside the farm is a space a lot bigger than the outside.
The space is solely made for farming and taking care of various animals.
Inside the space, crops grow significantly faster. the ground is always fertile and waters automatically.
Training Arena
the Training arena is filled with various weapons, hay dummies that regenerate after being destroyed and an arena for sparring.
In the training arena, all damage heal in minutes and blood loss doesn't have any significant effect.
The healing effect stops during the waves.
Ascension altar
The Ascension altar can be used to ascend Summons to a higher rarity in exchange of monster cores.
exemple:
common to uncommon is 50 cores
uncommon to rare is 150
rare to SR is 250
SR to SSR 500
SSR to UR is 1000 monster cores
UR being the highest rarity
Sacrifice altar
The sacrifice altar can be used to sacrifice Summons to strengthen other Summons.
