In our world, there was this thing where every hunter, angel, or other supernatural being had a mate. A mate is a person or creature destined to be your mate for life. And it turned out that all of us had mates, but you never told anyone about your mate. Dean's mate was Castel, and they started a relationship, and everyone knew about it. Sam's mate was Jack, but their relationship was just starting to develop.
