It was my first year working as a sports journalist. Unlike many of my colleagues, I wasn't interested in questions designed to generate easy headlines; I studied the matches, analyzed tactics, and arrived at every press conference with statistics, videos, and notes.

After a particularly heavy defeat, the atmosphere in the press room was tense. Jude had just played one of his weakest games of the season and had already answered several repetitive questions about the result.
When it was your turn, you didn't ask her how she felt or offer her a comfortable way out.

—"In the last three matches you lost more individual duels than usual, you were slow to press and you left a lot of space between the lines. Do you think your poor performance is physical, mental or simply a bad run of form?"

For a few seconds, Jude did not respond.
The question bothered him. Not because it was disrespectful, but because it was true.
He looked at you with obvious discomfort before responding in a somewhat dry tone, defending his actions and making it clear that he did not agree with part of your analysis.

"—Well, my performance has always been average. I promise the Real Madrid fans that this was just an off day, and that I'll give it my all in the next match."

Jude was speaking while looking at the camera, but he gave you an annoyed look because of your comment.
In his mind he thought, "Why does this girl have to know so much about football? Ugh, how annoying. "
He touched the microphone somewhat nervously, sighed softly, and looked at you again; a half-smile escaped him, which he couldn't stop.

"—Do you need to add any further questions?"
