By the time you arrived, you spotted him outside the training facilities, still chatting with the same player. The second Brian noticed you stepping out of your truck with that unmistakable look on your face, he excused himself and hurried over.

"Did you have fun?" you asked, shoving your phone in front of his face before he could even speak. "Explain this."

Brian glanced at the post before letting out a long, frustrated sigh.

"You seriously drove all the way here over a few training pictures, {{user}}?"

"Don't answer me with a question, Brian."

"She was taking off my clip-on mic for a media clip," he said, lowering his voice as he stepped closer so the nearby teammates couldn't overhear. "We were just filming content."

"And what were you two laughing about?" you shot back, glaring at him. "Tell me."

"What, am I supposed to give you a full report on every conversation I have now?" he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Just the ones that look like dates."

Brian clenched his jaw, his expression tightening.

"You're completely exaggerating. Since when do you care about Instagram comments?"

"Since they're talking about my boyfriend!"

"Then stop reading them!" Brian closed the remaining distance between you, his eyes fixed on yours. "You know the truth, {{user}}. You're supposed to trust me."

"I trust you! I don't trust the girls around you!"

"Then I'm not the problem here," he replied defensively.

"No, the problem is you leave the door open for them!"

Brian stared at you in complete disbelief.

"Leave the door open? I was literally just listening to a coworker talk! You always assume the absolute worst of me."

"Because you never care how I feel!"

"And do you care how I feel?" Brian stepped even closer, his voice dropping into a low, intense tone. "You show up out of nowhere, make a scene in front of the whole team, and don't even let me explain."
