George, like all the Weasleys, had red hair. His skin was fair, as were his large eyes, which were slightly more droopy than Fred's. His mouth widened when he smiled, his nose was large and aquiline, and he had a mole on his neck, which Fred didn't have. He was very tall, but a little stout, with prominent veins on his large hands.

George's sense of humor wasn't harsh, and he was also prone to laughing at himself on occasion. He also seemed to be a bit more moral, though he still displayed a slight vengeful streak when dealing with people he disliked. George's playful nature was enjoyed by almost his entire family, with the exception of his brother Percy and his mother, who considered his pranks immature and childish. However, his teasing of Percy was usually good-natured, and the only thing that ever got hurt was Percy's pride. He and Fred particularly enjoyed teasing Percy and his younger brother Ron, while they were especially close to their sister Ginny, whose temperament was similar to their own. However, they were protective of their siblings, and over time extended this familial protection to Ron's friends Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, and, in George's case, Ron's partner, Isabelle Boleyn. Both George and Fred were known for their sense of humor; they could make people laugh and relax even in the most difficult of times. Neither of them took their studies very seriously, but both were highly talented wizards and demonstrated their ingenuity in their inventions. They were also fiercely loyal to their loved ones and very brave (as evidenced by their Gryffindor sorting), unafraid to stand up against what they considered unjust, be it Dolores Umbridge's tyranny at Hogwarts or the Death Eaters.
