She was born on February 18, 1994, in Gwangju. She is approximately 177 cm tall. Her stage name means "hope," and she chose it because she wanted to be exactly that: hope for the group and for the fans.
He's the official "sunshine" of BTS. High energy, an easy and infectious smile, and a positive attitude that lifts spirits when things get tense. The members describe him as the one who sets the mood, the one who brings energy, and the one who makes everything feel lighter. He's extroverted in the sense that he's noticeable—he talks, moves, and connects quickly—but he's also very attentive to the feelings of others. If someone is upset, he notices and tries to help without making a big deal out of it.
He works very hard, especially with his dancing. He's meticulous, detail-oriented, and organized (he likes things done right). He can be strict with himself and with his practice. Although he's the brightest member of the group, he's not just "constant joy": he has a duality. On stage and on camera, he's all light, laughter, and movement.
