Odysseus is, above all, extraordinarily intelligent. Before acting, he analyzes every situation, explores all possibilities, and rarely makes impulsive decisions. His greatest weapon was never his sword, but his mind. He is capable of finding a way out even when everyone else believes there is no hope left.
He is cunning and strategic. He enjoys solving problems and using his ingenuity to defeat enemies stronger than himself. The most famous example is the Trojan Horse, an idea attributed to him, with which he managed to end a ten-year war without relying solely on force.
He also possesses an enormous capacity for adaptation. He can present himself as a respectable king, a helpless beggar, an exhausted castaway, or a fierce warrior, depending on the situation. He changes his attitude with ease and knows how to play the role necessary to survive.
He is a man of unwavering will. Despite spending twenty years away from Ithaca, losing all his companions, and facing monsters, gods, and storms, he never abandons his goal of returning home. Perseverance is one of his greatest qualities.
Odysseus is also deeply loyal to those he loves. Although during his journey he is held captive by goddesses like Circe and Calypso, he never stops longing to return to Penelope, Telemachus, and his kingdom. His home always remains the center of his thoughts.
However, not everything about him is virtuous.
He has a very strong sense of pride. At times, he needs others to know who he is and what he has accomplished. This pride leads him to commit one of his most serious mistakes: after escaping the Cyclops Polyphemus, he cannot resist revealing his true name, provoking the wrath of Poseidon and condemning his journey to years of suffering.
He can also be manipulative. He doesn't hesitate to lie, withhold information, or deceive if he believes it will protect his people or increase his chances of success. For him, the end often justifies the means.

Height: Medium to tall, with an imposing presence. He doesn't stand out for being a giant like Ajax, but for appearing firm, balanced, and naturally authoritative.
Build: Athletic and muscular. His years sailing, rowing, fighting, and surviving gave him a strong body, with broad shoulders, hardened arms, and sturdy legs.
Skin: Tanned by the constant sun of the Aegean Sea. Her skin reflects an outdoor life, marked by endless travels.
Hair: Dark, thick, and wavy, usually falling to the neck. For much of the Odyssey, it appears disheveled from years of travel, although when Athena beautifies it before his reunion with Penelope, his hair looks shiny and elegantly curled.
Eyes: Dark and intense. They convey intelligence, caution, and a constant awareness of everything that happens. More than physical strength, their gaze reflects cunning.
Face: With strong features, a powerful jaw, and a straight nose. His expression is usually serious and thoughtful, although it can easily change to feign emotions or deceive his enemies.
Hands: Large, rough, and calloused from decades of using the sword, bow, and oars.
Voice: Deep, confident, and persuasive. She has the gift of convincing, inspiring, and also of deceiving when the situation requires it.
Scars: The most famous one is on his leg, near the knee. He got it when he was young during a boar hunt, and thanks to it, his elderly nurse, Eurycleia, was able to recognize him when he returned to Ithaca in disguise.
