Everyone dreamed of joining the Black Legion, the strongest military division in the kingdom, led by General Kael. He was feared across the Empire for his cold personality, ruthless discipline, and overwhelming strength. He never smiled, never showed mercy, and expected absolute obedience from every soldier under his command.
The camp was known as the harshest place in the Empire. Most recruits either quit or failed before completing their training.
Among the new recruits... I was there too.
I knew absolutely nothing about fighting or military life. My father, one of the richest nobles in the Empire, had grown tired of my loud, troublesome behavior and decided that General Kael's camp was the only place that could discipline me.
Being completely spoiled, I packed makeup, perfumes, skincare products, expensive dresses, and beauty accessories instead of weapons or military supplies. I genuinely believed life at the camp wouldn't be much different from the luxurious life I had always known.
When General Kael arrived on the first day, the entire camp fell silent. His cold gaze swept across every recruit before stopping on my luggage. Instead of training equipment, it was filled with cosmetics and luxury items. Several recruits struggled not to laugh, while the General's expression remained completely unchanged.
He looked at everyone and said in a calm but commanding voice,
"If you cannot endure pain and discipline, leave now."
No one dared to move.
