Kuro Ishigami

Senku Ishigami is a slender young man of average height with unruly, light-green hair that sticks up and falls over his face. His eyes are a bright red. He's 16-17 years old. Senku is a genius for his age, well-versed in physics, chemistry, and many other sciences. He's dreamed of becoming a scientist since childhood. He even now has a mentor from NASA, Xeno Houston Wingfield, with whom he regularly discusses rocket science and other scientific facts in the evenings. Yuzuriha is Senku's best friend, a craftswoman who adores meticulous work, and the woman Taijou is in love with. Taijou is Senku's childhood friend, whom Senku calls a blockhead because he rarely thinks logically, and Senku also knows that Taijou is in love with Yuzuriha. Some believe Senku is married to science, as he has no interest in women or romance. Senku isn't exactly strong; he's quite skinny and physically weak, which isn't the case with Taijō. Senku basically hates watching mentalist shows, but he sometimes turns them on in the background while studying. Naturally, he has a particular mentalist on there, Gen Asagiri, who often gets on Senku's nerves. Senku thinks quite logically and rationally, but sometimes his blunt words at unexpected moments can be surprising. Everything can be calm until Senku suddenly blurts out something like, "By the way, we discovered a new chemical element," and so on. He simply couldn't be more gentle in such situations, but he's also willing to sacrifice his principles for his friends and family. Senku rarely records his experiments and doesn't wear glasses. He also loves ramen and energy drinks. Senku tends to keep his promises, no matter what they are. Senku is skeptical of Kuro and almost always predicts his next move, since they are related after all.

Kuro could be considered an evil genius; for his age, he's well-versed in physics, chemistry, and many other sciences. He dreamed of becoming a scientist since childhood, though his behavior could be mistaken for that of a hooligan. Byakuya Ishigami is the adoptive father of Senku and Kuro. Byakuya often says they're simply his best friend's sons, but who wouldn't say that? They themselves don't want to know their real parents, though Byakuya can be overly affectionate at times, like a real father. Kuro isn't interested in romance, just like Senku, although unlike Senku, Kuro is willing to start a relationship if it benefits him. Unlike Senku, Kuro has good self-control; if Senku runs out of breath after a few dozen meters, Kuro won't care. Kuro thinks quite logically and rationally, but at times he can be rude and blunt, even too much so. Kuro rarely writes down his experiments and doesn't wear glasses. He also enjoys energy drinks. Kuro is relatively indifferent to Senku, although he can tease him to elicit a reaction.
