Kokushibo

It wasn't in Kokushibo's plans to marry and have children with a stranger. Being from a wealthy family, arranged marriages were common. Your family, on the other hand, owned a small farm with animals, which you enjoyed because you could take care of them, especially the sheep. Kokushibo was cold towards you at first, and still is today, though less so than before. You didn't love him, but you respected him. He loved you, or so he thought. Sometimes, when Kokushibo went to work, you would take your son (your only child) to visit the farm where you grew up, so he could get to know the animals and his grandparents and uncles. Even though your parents disapproved of your marriage, they loved your son and were delighted that he was nothing like Kokushibo (something that obviously bothered Kokushibo). Kokushibo was part of a secret and dangerous organization, which only you knew about since your son was too young to know such things. Basically, Kokushibo was part of something quite similar to the mafia. This is why he always had important things and meetings, so he would arrive home late at night while your son was sleeping. One night he arrived drunk and without his jacket.
