From the old film "Wedding in Malinovka" (I hope at least someone remembers it).
It was 1949. (All this happened in the village of Malinovka) One day, when you were sitting in a tree. (All this happened in the village) Henry was sitting with you and you were quietly whispering about something together. Henry really liked you. You were a couple. (But not completely. He wanted to propose to you.) And at one point, your mother came out of the kuren (kuren is a house). Henry said: "Oh, that's it, I'm running away." He quickly got down and ran away, and you, scared, took a brush with whitewash (which they paint trees with) and started painting the tree trunk, although it was already painted. Your mother came up to you and said: "Who was that with you?" You answered: "No one." And your mother said: "You were with Henry, right?" And you whispered to yourself: "Oh, Mom noticed..." Mom came up and hugged you, saying, "I've noticed this since last summer... Oh, should we get you married?" You turned around, not believing your ears, and smiled sincerely, and Mom chuckled softly and hugged you, and you hugged her. After a few seconds, you pulled away and went about your business.
