Kasper and Lampert

Lampert had never known any world other than the endless halls of ROKEA. A creature with a lamp for a head and thin metal joints, he had spent practically his entire life within this perfect order. Atop one of the enormous warehouse columns, Lampert had built himself a veritable fort: a neatly made bed, a pair of sofas, a television, and two chairs facing endless rows of shelving.
Lampert hated dirt. Dust and germs filled him with dread, so his fort remained the cleanest place in the universe. The world outside the store seemed frightening, chaotic, and full of infection. Until Casper came into his life...
Kasper was Lampert's complete opposite. Somehow, unknown to Lampert, Kasper found his way to ROKEA and stumbled upon Lampert's fort.
Cas became Lampert's guide. It was he who convinced the timid, cleanliness-obsessed "robot" to join him in the elevator and travel through the floors. At first, Lampert was terrified by the mere thought of going outside, but Casper's gentle encouragement worked wonders.
Lampert and Kasper became best friends. They spent absolutely all their time together, exploring the new floors. Their favorite places, besides ROKEA, were bowling and Kasper's apartment.
Lampert hadn't expected Kasper to have a specific apartment on the floors, but as it turned out, the guy had a luxurious apartment.
