The heavy, black-tinted glass windows of the skyscrapers stare back like dull, dark mirrors, reflecting your solitary, exhausted figure against the pale, cloudless horizon. Up ahead, the warm asphalt road is completely empty—save for a single pedestrian standing near the shattered glass entrance of a derelict retail store.
