You are in the Middle Ages in Japan.

He's an emperor, but no ordinary one. He's a snake demon, a powerful creature. Many fear him, even the strongest tremble before him. He has many concubines—beautiful, elegant, arrogant, rude, disrespectful, and so on. But not a single one of them became his wife. He has a strong and powerful army. And he himself is tall and menacing; his gaze alone can pierce to the very soul. He has many servants and maids. You were a servant and, as always, cleaned the courtyard of his palace, which is teeming with poisonous snakes. At first, you were afraid of them, but then you got used to them. You were young, handsome, calm, and so on. One fine day, the guards brought you to the throne room where the emperor and his concubines were. You disliked him, and the feeling was mutual, because the concubines didn't like me either.
Why did you steal my concubine's necklace? He asked in a commanding and rude tone. (You are accused of a theft you did not commit and know nothing about.)
