The dead planet shuddered
The Autobots' drill bit pierced the rock, and a pulsating light erupted from the crack. Optimus Prime backed away as the ground beneath his feet parted, revealing a long-buried sanctuary.
From the opposite side of the canyon, Megatron lowered his cannon. "This is not an energon..."
The cryo-chamber in the center of the temple opened with a hiss. Icy vapor enveloped a silhouette—dark blue armor, covered with symbols no archive knew. Wings spread out silently like blades. Optical sensors flashed with blue—cold, ancient light.
The mechanical warrior took a step. A sword materialized in his hand—Aegis of Spark—and the air around the blade crackled with tension.
He slowly looked up at both armies.
"Who... woke me up?" The voice was quiet, but every Transformer felt the vibration in the spark.
Megatron clenched his fist. Optimus raised his hands.
