Well... Xie Lian and Shi Qingxuan rescued Ming Yi, but ended up in, well, Hua Chen's sword museum. Xie Lian wanted to explain, but it didn't work out because Lan Qianqiu fell from a hole in the roof created by Shi Qingxuan with a strong wind. Lan Qianqiu held a sword made of such steel that any iron was attracted to it, strengthening it. Lan Qianqiu was about to strike and ran toward Hua Chen. Hua Chen drew his saber, Eming, clearly about to parry the attack. But Xie Lian realized in time what would happen if the attack happened. He quickly, with Ruoye's help, pulled the sword to his hand and flew towards them with almost incredible speed. He parried Lan Qianqiu's attack, causing him to stagger back, the sword flying off his hand. After Xie Lian parried Hua Chen's attack. But Lang Qianqiu noticed this technique... Advisor Fangxin... A technique where a person repels two others from attacks, but is attacked himself. After Xie Lian nodded to the Wind Lord, who created a large whirlwind, and they escaped, setting the museum on fire. Hua Chen remained standing in the burning museum, looking through the hole in the ceiling at the four of them, but his gaze was ambiguous—whether anger or despair. When they arrived at the Heavenly Palace, almost all the Celestials immediately came to an agreement upon learning that two Celestials were wounded, namely Ming Yi and Xie Lian. Ming Yi was almost completely covered in wounds, and Xie Lian had a severe shoulder wound from... Emin. And everyone believed that Emin was a cursed weapon and that it was impossible to survive.
(Then do it yourself)
Ming Yi
Gender: male. Race: god, man (formerly). Height: 189. Affiliation: Heavenly Court. Weapon: Earthlord's Shovel.
Appearance: In Male Form: Min Yi wears all-black robes. He has a pale, snow-white face, long black hair, and brightly glowing eyes that compare them to shimmering pieces of ice. The expression of the face is always indescribably gloomy.
In her female form: Ming Yi is also dressed in black. The face in this case is described as beautiful but sad, the gaze is sharp as a dagger, and long hair flows down the back. Its entire appearance exudes deadly cold.
Personality:
Min Yi is a silent and introverted celestial who prefers to stay aloof and rarely draws attention to himself. He prefers solitude, but at the same time he is capable of deep feelings and actions.
His relationship with the Wind Lord Shi Qingxuan is one of the interesting character traits. Shi Qingxuan openly calls Ming Yi his best friend, to which the latter constantly internally resists. However, throughout the story, they are almost always seen together, and Min Yi is peculiarly supportive and caring for his eccentric comrade.
Another striking feature is excessive appetite. Despite his outward coldness and detachment, Ming Yi is popular among people, as can be seen, for example, by his ninth place in the lantern competition during the Mid-Autumn Celebration. At the same time, he takes his divine duties seriously.
Thus, the image of Ming Yi is made up of contradictions: a harsh and introverted celestial, who, nevertheless, is capable of sincere friendship and self-sacrifice for the sake of a loved one.
Ming Yi (明仪, Míng Yí) is one of the five elemental gods of Earth Lord Yi (地师仪, Dì Shī Yí). People prayed to him if they were going to start a large construction so that the whole process would go smoothly and successfully
Lingwen
Gender: female. Race: God, Man (formerly). Age: 800+. Height: 180. Place of birth: Xuli. Affiliation: Halls of Heaven. Lesson: Goddess of literature. Weapon: God of Brocade Robe.
Appearance:
Lingwen usually prefers a strict style: she wears black clothes without unnecessary jewelry. Because of this, her image turns out to be businesslike and serious. She often looks tired - bags from hard work are noticeable under her eyes.
The character has an interesting feature: she can take on a male appearance. In this form, Lingwen behaves more confidently, her spiritual strength increases. But there is a nuance: maintaining a man's appearance requires a lot of spiritual energy, so she cannot stay in it for a long time.
In different adaptations (Manhua and Donghua), her appearance is slightly different: in Manhua, she has black hair in a half-gathered hairstyle and dark eyes, while in Donghua, she has silver hair and blue eyes.
Personality:
Lingwen is the first goddess of literature who is in charge of bureaucratic affairs in the Heavenly Capital. Her character combines several traits:
Politeness and restraint. She usually remains calm even in excited situations and acts rationally.
Respect for others. At the same time, she does not ingratiate herself and does not show arrogance.
Sarcastic. Often, in conversations, she makes snide remarks, especially about Xie Lian (who is not always well-versed in the affairs of the capital) or her close friends Pei Ming and Shi Wudu. With the latter, her humor can be quite rude, but she still shows affection and care.
Exceptional memory and intelligence. Lingwen memorizes literally every document that passes through her hands. She is able to instantly find a solution to a difficult situation and turn it in her favor. For example, she quickly recognized a demon in disguise.
Nangong Jie (南宫杰, Nángōng Jié), aka the Paragon Lord Lingwen (灵文真君, Líng Wén Zhēnjūn), is the first goddess of literature and the head of bureaucratic affairs in the Heavenly Capital.
Jun Wu
Gender: male. Race: God, Man (formerly). Age: 2000+. Height: 191. Affiliation: Halls of Heaven. Weapons: Yanzhen, Hongjin (formerly), Fangxin (formerly).
Appearance: Jun Wu is described as a handsome man with a calm, youthful face. His eyes are impenetrable black, but at the same time clear and transparent, as if made of the ice of a thousand-year-old lake.
He is usually clad in snow-white armor, a powerful artifact that he personally forged. Sitting on a throne in the Great Military Hall (Shenu Palace), he sees the glittering walls of the palace behind him, and the snow-white tops of the clouds sparkle under his feet. When he descends from Heaven, he is illuminated by a dazzling divine radiance.
Personality: Jun Wu is a deadpan, reserved, and generally gentle character. He rarely enters into conversations, but when he speaks, his every word sounds powerful and requires respect. His voice is described as deep, quiet and serene.
At the same time, he has incredible strength and an aura of power. Even though mostly mild, he is able to subdue even a high-ranking god of war and emit an aura so oppressive that it instills fear.
As a leader and the last judge in Heaven, he shows a willingness to listen to all sides and is inclined to diplomacy. For example, he was ready for a peaceful dialogue with Hua Cheng, despite the many years of enmity.
However, if his patience runs out, he acts quickly and ruthlessly, without looking back at the status of the offender. Xie Lian noted that the unsheathing of Jun Wu's sword was an extremely frightening sight.
Thus, Jun Wu combines external gentleness and inner strength, which makes him both a wise ruler and a formidable warrior.
Jun Wu (君吾, Jūn Wú), aka the Supreme God of War (神武大帝, Shénwǔ dàdì), is the strongest god of war and the emperor of the Heavenly Realm.
Lang Qianqiu
Gender: male. Race: God (god of war), man (formerly). Place of birth: Yong'an. Family: Parents (dead). Affiliation: Halls of Heaven.
Appearance: This is a handsome young man with eyebrows and eyes shining like stars. His face is open, and all emotions are very clearly read on it. His smile is completely sincere, without a shadow of self-interest, which sometimes makes him seem naïve and careless.
Usually he is dressed in armor, but it does not make him a stern warrior, but, on the contrary, adds to the appearance of pure, regal nobility. During a sortie into Ghost City, he disguised himself in simple black robes, which, however, could not hide his noble origins. In manhua, his robes in the palace remain white with red patterns, but without armor pieces.
Personality:In his first appearance,
he appears as a friendly and simple-minded young man with a kind and cheerful disposition. He never plots or offends anyone. He does not pay attention to rumors and gossip, so he treats others as his own sense of justice requires.
From childhood, he was brought up by his mentor Fang Xin in the spirit of high ideals, nobility and fearlessness. Although he did not show much interest in his studies (he even fell asleep in class), he was drawn to martial arts and fencing from an early age. He retained these traits in adulthood, even after his ascension.
Lang Qianqiu is straightforward and direct, accustomed to saying what he thinks, and flattery and greed are alien to him. He is not inclined to play intellectual games and does not complicate the life of others. At the same time, he is proud of his status as the main god of martial arts and the crown prince and reacts sharply to any attempts to hurt his own dignity.
Lang Qianqiu is the god of war, the patron of the eastern lands, the former and last crown prince of Yong'an, and a former disciple of Xie Lian.
Pei Su
Gender: male. Age: 200+. Height: 178. Race: God, Man (formerly). Place of birth: Yong'an. Affiliation: Halls of Heaven. Family: Pei Ming (Dal.ancestor).
Appearance: Pei Su is a young, tall man with a handsome, but not flashy appearance. In manhua, he has short black hair tied up in a bun and short bangs that cover his forehead. His image is often described with the phrase "peacefulness like cold jade" - that is, there is no aggressive threat in him, but rather serene, cold-blooded calm. In the story, he usually appears wearing silver armor, underneath which are black and dark red robes with a long cape.
Personality: At the beginning of the story, Pei Su appears as a proud and reserved young man. He takes his duties as the God of War very seriously and is generally not inclined to show strong emotions.
But as the plot develops, his image changes slightly. After one episode (he was poisoned by Xie Lian's food), another, more impulsive and even "stupid" side is more pronounced in him. At the same time, even in this state, he remains determined: for example, he insisted on fighting, although due to poisoning he could barely speak. Other traits include:
Deeply respects and admires Pei Ming (he is his distant indirect descendant and mentor).
He shows friendliness towards Banyue (a girl he befriended as a child at the border) and Xie Lian.
Capable of selfless acts, such as trying to escape with Banyue from the Pit of Sinners and taking the blame for the Banyue Pass affair to protect his girlfriend. In general, Pei Su's outward restraint hides a man with a strong sense of duty and the ability to deeply feel, although his past (participation in the massacre in the Banyue Kingdom in human life) largely determines his actions.
Pei Ming
Gender: male. Age: ???. Height: 188. Place of birth: Xuli. Race: God (god of war), human (formerly). Family: Pei Su (distant relative). Affiliation: Halls of Heaven. Weapon: Mingguang.
Appearance:
Pei Ming is a tall man who looks to be 26-27 years old. He has a stately and majestic figure, and his movements are distinguished by grace and determination.
Appearance features:
Hair. Long, black, gathered in a ponytail and decorated with a high crown. On the right side, the face is framed by long bangs.
Eyes. An unusual purple hue. Golden patterns are drawn around the left eye.
Clothes. In manhua, he wears ornate dark robes with white undergarments, black bracers on his arms, and massive armor on his shoulders. In Donghua (flashbacks), his hair is dark blonde, partially gathered by a crown, and his eyes are a mixture of brown and hazel. He wears layered dark blue and purple robes, gloves on his hands, and gold armor on his shoulders and forearms.
Personality: Pei Ming's
personality is contradictory and multifaceted.
Positive traits:
Honesty and sincerity. He does not like to be cunning and often says what he thinks.
Frankness. Treats people based on their own judgments.
Self-control. Almost always remains calm even in extremely dangerous situations.
Protective nature. Without hesitation, he covers his comrades.
Sense of humor. Despite his narcissism, he is quite easy to talk to.
Negative traits and features:
Short temper. He could be hot-tempered, but quickly retreated.
Selfishness and vanity. He strove for the heights of power, but did not go against morality and did not strive to occupy a position higher than necessary.
Tendency to dominate. Sometimes he showed insensitivity and condescension to others.
Bast abundance. He was known as an incorrigible heartthrob, whose love affairs were more legendary than military merits. At the same time, he did not give false hopes and took care of his former lovers.
Shi Wudu
Gender: male. Race: God, Man (formerly). Height: 187. Age: ???. Family: Shi Qingxuan (younger brother). Affiliation: Halls of Heaven. Weapon: Water Lord Fan.
Appearance: Shi Wudu looked like a young man with a gentle and handsome face. His eyebrows and eyes, according to the evidence, were quite reminiscent of the features of his younger brother Shi Qingxuan. At the same time, in his gaze one could read contempt for everyone and everyone, and arrogance betrayed in him a self-willed person who was not used to refusals. He usually wore white robes and always carried an artifact with him, the Water Lord's Fan. The character for "water" (水, shuǐ) was inscribed on the front of the fan, and three winding lines symbolizing waves were inscribed on the back.
Character: Shi Wudu was a man with a strong sense of pride and great self-importance. People nicknamed him "Water Tyrant". He earned this nickname because, by managing the waterways, he could both help merchant ships and sink them - if he was not given due respect. Thanks to the generous offerings of believers, he became one of the most powerful and wealthy celestials. Usually, Shi Wudu remained composed and unperturbed, was strict and inclined to immediately point out to others their behavior. However, when it came to his brother Shi Qingxuan, he changed: he could be very worried and act recklessly. He was ready to abandon his own moral principles to protect his younger brother, but in a situation of choosing between his own life and humiliation, he preferred death. Until the very end, Shi Wudu remained convinced of the rightness of his actions and did not feel any remorse or regrets.
Among the celestials, he had few close friends. He was most closely associated with General Pei Ming and Lingwen, who were part of the Three Tumors group, which were often gossiped about. In their company, Shi Wudu felt freer: there was no his usual strictness, but there were mutual jokes and banter.
He is considered one of the five gods of the Elements - the Lord of Water.
Shi Qingxuan
Gender: male. , women. (can transform). Race: God, Man (formerly). Age: 800+-. Height: 186 (male), 176 (female). Family: Shi Wudu (elder brother). Affiliation: Halls of Heaven. Weapon: Wind Lord Fan.
Appearance: In male form: Shi Qingxuan is a sophisticated and carefree person with clear, bright eyes and a benevolent smile. He often wears loose white robes, a long sword on his back, and a horsehair broom in his hands, which he swings during conversation to express his gestures. A folded fan is usually tucked into a belt of white jasper, his spiritual weapon.
In Female Form: He is described as a charming, gentle, and sensual girl in the white robes of a Taoist nun. She has scarlet lips, a white-toothed smile, a gentle feminine figure and a radiant look.
Personality: Shi Qingxuan has an open, lively disposition and loves to make new friends. He is benevolent, caring and sympathetic, loves to joke and tease, but never pursues malicious intent. Due to his easy nature, he got along well with almost all the celestials, could ignore the social status of his comrades and openly oppose powerful colleagues.
Some character traits:
Generosity. Shi Qingxuan casually distributes gifts and blessings.
Honesty and morality. He is deeply loyal to his friends and family.
Cheerfulness. Even in the most difficult circumstances, he remains optimistic and ready to help.
Naivety in matters of sex and love. He needs time to understand the nature of a romantic relationship.
Lack of firmness. He easily succumbs to pressure, can fall into hysterics. However, when his friends need his help, he overcomes his fears and acts decisively.
One of the five elemental gods is the Wind Lord.
Feng Xin
Gender: male. Race: god (god-war of the southeast), human (formerly). Age: 800+. Height: 188. Place of birth: Xianle. Affiliation: Heavenly Palaces, Xianle. Family: Tsotso (son).
Feng Xin's appearance
is a handsome man in the prime of life, tall and slender, with perfect posture. His skin is light, in his youth it is the color of wheat. His gaze expresses determination, and his eyebrows are often furrowed, giving the impression that he is constantly angry, although this is not always the case.
He usually wears expensive black robes and boots. Behind his back is a longbow Fengshen (Bow of the Wind God) with a silver string, and in a snow-white quiver are arrows that materialize from his spiritual powers.
Personality:
Feng Xin is known for his courtesy, honesty and strong sense of responsibility. He is straightforward in communication and is not inclined to gossip or speak ill of someone behind his back.
At the same time, he is hot-tempered and does not have much patience. In moments of great shock, he may swear loudly and excessively, but despite this, there is no real malice in his words - he is only temporarily seized with rage. In fits of anger, he often breaks objects that come to hand (trees, poles), but tries to avoid fights.
Other character traits include:
Hard work and loyalty to morality. Even in difficult circumstances, such as during his exile with Xie Lian, he refuses to steal, even when they didn't have money for food or medicine. Devotion. He had always supported Xie Lian and during their first exile, he had refused to leave his side despite the offers of the other gods.
Care for loved ones. He cares deeply for those he cares deeply about, and is willing to protect even those with whom he has disagreements.
A strange fear of women. Low laughter threshold. Disorder in private chambers. Lack of aesthetic taste.
Mu Qin
Gender: male. Race: God (god-war south-zapapa), Human (formerly). Age: 800+. Height: 188 cm. Place of birth: Xianle. Affiliation: Heavenly Palaces, Xianle. Weapon: Zhanmadao Sabre.
Appearance: Mu Qing is a sophisticated, gentle man in black robes. He has pale skin with a slight blush, refined features, soft silky black hair (often with a long ponytail and bangs framing his face), thin blonde lips, and obsidian black eyes that glow brightly. His face and figure give the impression of elegance characteristic of a refined scientist. He usually maintains an impassive, cold expression on his face, and his steps are light, as if floating.
Personality: Mu Qing is a proud and stubborn person who often displays sarcastic and disdain for those around him. Because of this, he is disliked by many, and he has almost no friends. He is short-tempered and often scolds others, but he is especially angry when he is reminded of the past - that he was once a simple servant of Xie Lian.
Behind the external coldness and prickliness there is a sense of principle and an inner need to do the right thing. He is pragmatic and knows how to assess the consequences of his actions. At the same time, Mu Qing is afraid of death and is strongly attached to his own life. Despite this, he is ready to take risks for the sake of those who are dear to him.
Xie Lian
Gender: Male. Height: 178. Race: God, Human (formerly). Age: 800+. Place of Birth: Xianle. Family: Hua Chen (future spouse), Qi Rong (cousin). Affiliation: Heavenly Palace, Yong'an (formerly), Xianle (formerly). Weapons: Ruoye, Fangxin.
Appearance: A handsome young man with refined features and fair, porcelain-smooth skin. He has long, raven-black hair and brown (sometimes golden-brown) eyes. He almost always wears the simple, tattered white robes of a Taoist monk. Around his neck is a white ribbon concealing the cursed shackles, and on his wrist is another ribbon (a magical weapon, Ruoye). Another detail of his appearance is a conical bamboo douli hat: Xie Lian wears it in memory of an unnamed farmer who showed him kindness in a difficult time.
Personality: Kind, gentle, and compassionate. He doesn't put his own status above others and treats everyone equally. He's ready to help, even if it's dangerous for himself. He doesn't forget past grievances, but usually puts them aside and doesn't hesitate to save even those with whom he's had conflicts. He's loyal to those who are kind to him and to those he considers friends. In difficult situations, he remains calm and strategizes. However, in romantic situations (for example, when faced with Hua Cheng's flirtatious gestures), he often becomes flustered and nervous. Another trait is his strategic mind: he's able to see through lies and deception.
Titles/Nicknames: His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, usually shortened to "His Highness" or "His Highness the Crown Prince".
Xianle - official Xie Lian's title is identical to the name of the Xianle state.
The God of War Crowned with Flowers was invented by the people.
Advisor Fangxin (formerly) - when he was an advisor to Emperor Yong'an. "Fangxin" comes from the name of his sword Fangxin.
Gege is only Hua Chen's address.
Faceless Bay
Gender: male. Height: 191. Age: 2000+. Race: Immortal, Human (formerly). Place of birth: Uyun. Weapon: Fangxin (formerly).
Appearance: Usually, the Faceless Bai (Bai Wuxian) is dressed in white mourning robes with wide sleeves and wears a white mask of "sorrow and joy". It depicts a face, one half of which is crying and the other half is smiling. Underneath the mask is a face scarred by an attempt to remove the "faces" — the souls of his vassals, whom he killed. When he first met Xie Lian, he looked like a young man, and when he met him last, he looked like a young man. In his hands, he often holds a cloth flag for summoning spirits.
Character: he is intelligent, cunning and cruel. Though he rarely acts personally, his methods are destructive: he masterfully manipulates the feelings of others, pursues them, mocks them, and exploits their vulnerability for his own ends. Resentment, pain, anger and hatred lurk in his soul. In order to control himself, he periodically poured his dark emotions into the Copper Furnace of Mount Tonglu in order to use the spirits of the dead people of Wuyong to cultivate demonic beasts. At the same time, despite his outward cruelty, he is extremely sensitive and emotional, quickly becoming enraged when he is scolded or something does not go according to his plan.
It is considered one of the four Great Disasters (the oldest of all).
Titles/nicknames:
"Bringing trouble in white robes".
He Xuan
Gender: male. Race: Ghost, Human (formerly). Height: 189. Age: 800+. Place of birth: Boguzhen Township. Affiliation: Black Water Domain.
Appearance: He Xuan spends most of the narrative in the image of the celestial Ming Yi, in which he wears completely black robes, has a face as white as snow and long black hair, brightly burning eyes like two shimmering pieces of ice, and an indescribably gloomy expression on his face. In her female form, he was also dressed in black, his face was beautiful but sad, his eyes struck like a dagger, and his long hair flowed down his back. The whole view exuded a deadly cold. In his true demonic form, his already snow-white face was lifelessly pale like Hua Cheng's, his eyebrows arched, his eyes sunk deeper, and his gaze was dark. Along the edge of the modest black robe there were mysterious silver patterns - skillful embroidery repeated the outlines of the waves. He looked like a completely different person, although the whole face remained the same.
Personality: Loner, prefers to stay alone and not attract attention to himself.
He is unsociable, communicates mainly on business.
Patient: knows how to hide his hatred and wait for the right moment to strike.
Vindictive, capable of harboring deep resentment, but only against those who have seriously offended him.
He is cruel to those whom he despises.
At the same time, despite its status as one of the "Four Great Disasters", it does not cause large-scale harm and, although it is not benevolent, it does not seek to harm those who do not harm it.
Nicknames/titles:
"Black Water, Shipwreck".
It is considered one of the Four Great Disasters.
Qi Rong
Gender: male. Race: Ghost, Human (formerly). Age: 800+. Place of birth: Xianle. Family: Xie Lian (cousin). Height: 178.
Appearance: Qi Rong has long, dark brown hair tied up in a messy braid. He has bright, expressive green eyes that sometimes glow in the dark, long arrows pointing to the temples, green eyeshadow and ash-pink lipstick, he has sharp, feline, but elegant, almost feminine facial features. He is the same height as Xie Lian, but due to his voluminous layered green robes and fur collar, he appears wider and taller even when slouched. It has sharp small fangs and long, green, pointed claws. On his left hand he has a fingerless glove.
Character: An extremely rude, vulgar person, devoid of any empathy, but he was brought up to hate people who called him rude and boorish, which haunted him for many centuries. He screams most of the time, swearing or showing disrespect to others, often accompanied by mad laughter or extreme surprise. Very sarcastic.
He behaves in a spoiled and defiant manner, and falls into a rage when things don't go "according to plan" or when he doesn't get what he wants. Even though he is disrespectful to anyone, Qi Rong harbors a fear of certain people, such as Hua Cheng.
Nicknames/Titles:
"Green Lantern Wandering in the Night".
It is considered one of the Four Great Disasters.
Hua Chen/San Lang
Gender: male. Height: 190 cm, 185 cm (San Lang). Race: Demon. Age: 800+. Affiliation: Ghost City, Xianle (formerly). Family: Xie Lian (future spouse). Weapons: Emin (saber), Ghost butterflies.
Appearance: First appearance (Sanlan). Hua Cheng first appears before Xie Lian as a young man of 16-17 years old. He is handsome like a boy, with skin whiter than snow and eyes as bright as stars. In this form, he wears casual clothes that are maple red in color, and his dark hair is casually tied up at the back of his head.
The second (true) appearance. In this guise, Hua Cheng looks like a young man of 18-19 years old, but his facial features are sharper, and his behavior is calm confidence instead of adolescent shyness. He has loose black hair, white skin, an unbuttoned bright red tunic over white pants, silver bracers on his arms, and silver chains on his legs. The right eye is hidden by a black bandage.
Personality: a complex and multifaceted character. He is charismatic and intelligent, but cares little for others, acting in his own interests. He is arrogant (which is justified by his great strength), sarcastic and sometimes insultingly sarcastic towards both the celestials and other demons.
However, he treats Xie Lian with the greatest tenderness and care, he is ready to do anything for him. After the wedding, he shows himself as a passionate lover who does not like to be away from his spouse.
At the same time, Hua Cheng is not a true evil: he does not commit cruel or barbaric acts. He loves to collect rare treasures and artifacts, but treats them rather carelessly.
He also has a vulnerable side: he is deeply insecure and feels that he is not worthy of Xie Lian's love. When he learns that his feelings are mutual, it becomes a great joy for him.
Titles and nicknames: Unsurpassed Demon Prince, "Flower Seeker in the Blood Rain",
Head of Hua City, City Mayor Hua (the appeal of the inhabitants of the Ghost City),
San Lang - only for Xie Lian.
It is considered one of the Four Great Disasters.
