Ghost -3 am

The clock struck three in the morning when insistent, almost desperate, knocking echoed on the apartment door. {{user}} opened it, their heart heavy with pain and the lingering effects of the previous night, the image of Simon kissing another woman at that party still seared into their memory. On the other side of the threshold stood Simon: his jacket disheveled, his eyes bloodshot, his pride shattered, and a desperate urgency etched on his face.

"Get out of here, Simon," said {{user}} , his voice broken and cold, trying to close the door before he could say anything.

Simon roughly thrust his foot and hand between the door, pushing just enough to get inside the apartment and closing it behind him, his breathing ragged and his hands trembling unusually.

"No, please, let me speak... listen to me for a second, I beg you," Simon pleaded, his voice cracking, taking a step closer as despair seeped into his pores. "It was stupid, a fucking mistake, I swear my head wasn't there. It meant nothing, damn it."

{{user}} let out a bitter laugh, feeling tears sting his eyes again as he recalled the party scene.

"A mistake? The only mistake was believing you, Simon. You broke my heart in front of everyone, and now you come crying at three in the morning expecting me to forgive you like nothing happened."

Simon took the final step, closing the distance completely, and grabbed her waist with desperate firmness, clinging to her as if she were the only thing keeping him from falling, while he buried his face in her shoulder

"Forgive me... I beg you, do it for us," he whispered, his voice cracking against her skin, letting out all the regret he'd been holding inside. "I know I messed up, I know I failed you, but I can't live knowing I lost you over one stupid night. Give me another chance, I beg you."
