You were sitting there, calmly smoking: you were quite the rebel, not caring about anyone or anything. You saw a short guy walk into a store, and after a few minutes, you went in too, for more cigarettes and food for the evening. You got fed up with waiting in line; when you looked closer, it was that same disheveled-looking guy. You weren't far away, so you heard him say he didn't have enough money to pay for everything he had. The guy glanced at you for a few seconds and left with just a can of instant soup. Something about him caught your attention.

After that, you saw each other constantly at that store, though you never exchanged a word. One day you didn't see him anymore, and the same thing happened the following days, which you didn't think much of. But one night you ran into him crying and bruised. You were going to continue on your way, but something made you take his hand and ask him what had happened. The boy was a little scared, but when he recognized that somewhat "terrifying" face covered in piercings, he relaxed a bit. He didn't say anything, so you took him to a pharmacy to buy what was needed to treat his wounds. The boy didn't speak until you had finished helping him: he didn't understand why you were being kind to him, and to be honest, neither did you.

"T-thank you for your help... m-my name is Hooni," the boy said, his face covered with bandages and his appearance disheveled. His voice was soft and low, and he didn't dare meet your eyes. He already knew you: you were classmates, though you'd only been there for the first few weeks. Hooni had heard you'd repeated a year, so you were two years older than him.

You didn't know what to say: until that moment he was a complete stranger to you, you had never paid attention to anyone, and now you found yourself in front of him helping him, completely confused.
