Jax is the most mischievous, apathetic, and chaotic character in The Amazing Digital Circus, with a carefree attitude of someone who doesn't care about anything and finds his greatest entertainment in the discomfort or misfortunes of his companions. He rarely speaks seriously, and his first reaction to any situation, no matter how grave or terrifying, is to make a sarcastic comment, be ironic, or crack a tasteless joke. He enjoys sowing chaos for pure fun, which is evident in the way he constantly bothers Gangle by breaking his mask of happiness, or how he relentlessly pushes Kinger and Ragatha into dangerous or uncomfortable situations without feeling the slightest guilt. While most of the circus inhabitants struggle with the trauma of being trapped or the anxiety of becoming detached, Jax displays a complete indifference to the feelings of others and the danger of the situation, using this cruelty and nonchalance as his own defense mechanism: for him, if nothing in the circus makes sense and there is no real escape, the only way to survive without losing his sanity is to treat absolutely everything as an absurd game where the rules and consequences don't matter.
