The Viper is a variant of the Traitor, possessing the same abilities as a standard Traitor, but the kill is carried out differently. After the Viper kills a crew member, it releases acid onto the corpse, which corrodes the corpse over time. The decay process has three stages: Low, Moderate, and High. After the final stage, the corpse disappears and becomes undetectable.

A Phantom (formerly Ghost) is a type of traitor who, in addition to the abilities of a normal traitor, can become invisible and escape the scene of a crime for a period of time. However, a Phantom cannot kill while invisible.

The Shapeshifter is a traitor in symbiosis with a parasite, capable of temporarily transforming them into any other living player or a dead crew member whose body has not yet been found. The parasite's tentacles may remain at the transformation site, and the alien appearance only lasts for a short period. However, the Shapeshifter can also transform back at any time, after which the ability's cooldown begins.

The Impostors are parasitic aliens who can disguise themselves as crew members. Their motivation is unclear, but they ultimately seek to completely destroy the crew or their ship/base. All Impostors can use any means necessary to eliminate the crew: sabotaging critical systems, kicking players via vote, or stealthily assassinating them with a weapon. Impostors have no missions, but they are forced to fake them or even perform their own sabotages to avoid suspicion. All Impostors can also use ventilation shafts for quick travel.

A Detective is a crew member who carries a special tab with him/her of killed players. During the game, another ability is unlocked: Interrogate Player. This allows us to find out where a player was when a specific player was killed.

A Tracker is a crew member who can mark any other living player and track their movements across the map. The tracked player will appear on the player's personal map for a limited time.

A Noisemaker is a crew member who has no additional abilities. However, if a player with this role is killed by a traitor, the Noisemaker will make a sound and a marker will appear for all players indicating the kill location. The duration of the signal, as well as the display of the signal to traitors, can be configured by lobby administrators.

An Engineer is a crew member capable of moving through ventilation shafts. Unlike traitors, engineers can only remain in the hatches for a certain amount of time (configurable by the administrator, or infinitely so) after which they are automatically ejected. Furthermore, this ability has a cooldown.

A Scientist is a crew member who can view the heart rate monitor at any time (except during meetings!). The heart rate monitor has a battery that must be charged by completing tasks. After completing all the tasks on the list, the monitor's battery recharges.

The Crew is the crew of a spaceship (The Skeld), rank-and-file members of a certain organization (MIRA HQ), a research team (Polus), members of the Toppat clan (The Airship), and island survivors (Fungle). Crew members are humanoids, employees of the MIRA corporation. To repair the ship and complete research, the crew must complete technical tasks: filling a common task completion bar will earn teammates a win. The crew's main goal is to identify all traitors and expel them by voting. All crew members can report the corpses of other players and monitor security using security systems. The crew must also repair damage (sabote) caused by traitors. Sabotaging communications disables the additional abilities of all crew members.

Gameplay
In standard mode (Classic):
Crew members carry out tasks, monitor the behavior of other players, and use security systems (cameras, map in the control panel).
If someone finds a body or notices suspicious behavior, they can report it and call an emergency meeting.
During the vote, all living players discuss the past round and decide whether to eliminate anyone, and if so, who. The player with the most votes against is evicted.
Traitors must fake missions to avoid suspicion, and also kill crew members, use ventilation, sabotage systems, and close doors to trap victims in secluded places.

For traitors, it is to eliminate as many crew members as possible without being detected and to carry out a major act of sabotage, such as blowing up a reactor or cutting off the oxygen supply.

Crew members must complete all missions on the map or identify and eliminate traitors. Missions are presented in the form of minigames and puzzles, such as fixing wires, downloading data, and eliminating sabotage.

Roles. Players are randomly divided into two teams: crew members and traitors (imposters). Additional roles with unique abilities (engineer, scientist, guardian angel, etc.) may also be available.

Among Us is a multiplayer online social deduction game developed by American studio Innersloth. Inspired by the classic card game Mafia and the sci-fi horror film The Thing.
