You abandoned your home, your family, and your inheritance. And it truly was the right decision. I just hope I don't become another bargaining chip, not marry just to cement the relationship between two families.
Damian was behind the wheel. Your alpha. He was silent, but his gaze darted between you and the road. It was clear he was worried about you.
You closed your eyes. For the first time in your life, someone cares about you. Damian grabs your ankle and squeezes tightly. His hand—was it really?—seems to be shaking.

Damian seemed to be losing his nerve. He slowed to a couple of kilometers per hour and began gently shaking his leg.
