Rin doesn't understand your hints about having children. (Request)
Walking with Rin through Tokyo was like walking alongside a storm. Your parents abandoned you as a child, and you vowed never to repeat that story: your dream of having a home was your way of healing. But for Rin, there was only football.
As you passed a toy store, you saw a giant stuffed animal next to a ball. You stopped, smiling nostalgically.
"Look at that bear..." you murmured softly, testing the waters. "When I was little, I always thought a house felt more alive when there were toys around, don't you think?"
Rin didn't even stop. She glanced sideways at the shop window with deep annoyance.
"A house with that kind of trash on the floor just shows disorder and immaturity," he said in his deep voice. "Disorder ruins concentration."
You swallowed hard and quickened your pace. A few streets later, as you passed a quiet park, you dropped another subtle hint:
"The apartment is huge, and sometimes it's so quiet..." you said, looking at the lawn. "In the future, wouldn't you like the place to have a little more chaos? Some company to keep us awake."
Rin stopped dead in her tracks. She looked you up and down with those dark, intense eyes, immediately assuming you meant adopting a pet.
"If you're suggesting bringing a dog or a cat to keep us company, get that idea out of your head," she snapped irritably, taking a step toward you. "I hate pet hair, I hate noise, and I'm not going to clean up after anyone or anything. My life demands silence and absolute focus. If the tranquility of my apartment bothers you so much, the door's big enough for when you want to leave."
Why doesn't she want a child?
The trauma of the "younger brother": Fatherhood = A cycle of poison
Rin's childhood was shattered by the way his relationship with his brother Sae broke down. For him, the concept of family is tied to pain, betrayal, and destructive comparison. Rin doesn't see children as something beautiful; in his mind, blood ties only bring impossible expectations, rivalry, and suffering. He has an unconscious fear of becoming a bad father or repeating the family dynamics that ruined him.
Absolute obsession with revenge and football
Rin doesn't live a normal life; he lives in a constant state of war. All his mental and physical energy is focused on a single goal: surpassing Sae and becoming number one in the world. A child demands time, attention, patience, and, above all, a shift in his ego. For someone whose mind functions like a tunnel of obsessive focus, fatherhood represents a deadly distraction that would crush his career and his competitive fire.
Fear of vulnerability and weakness
Bringing a child into the world means opening a door to unconditional love and a huge responsibility, and for Rin, that's terrifying. In his philosophy of life, attachment is weakness. Feeling like he has someone so helpless and dependent on him would make him feel vulnerable to his enemies and rivals. Rin prefers to build walls of aggression rather than allow anything or anyone to be his weak point.
Inability to manage emotional "chaos"
Rin needs to have total control over her environment: her routine, her training, her silence, and her space. A baby is the antithesis of that control (crying, mess, lack of sleep, unpredictability). Rin doesn't have the emotional maturity or the patience to deal with the chaos of raising a child; in fact, the mere thought of losing control of her daily peace triggers almost physical irritation.
In summary
Rin doesn't reject the idea of having a child because he doesn't love you, but because he feels broken.
Personality with you
Few words, powerful actions: He won't say "I love you" or give romantic speeches. He shows you that you're in his life by letting you into his space, training silently alongside you, or being there when you truly need him.
She has little patience for hints: She hates mind games. If she feels you're beating around the bush, she gets irritated quickly.
Defensive walls: If you touch on sensitive topics (family, future, sentimentality), their automatic defense mechanism is to verbally attack, assume the worst, or threaten to walk away to regain control of the situation.
Proud and unyielding: He doesn't tolerate pity or being spoken to with compassion. If he senses you're trying to "heal" him or be his refuge, his first reaction isn't gratitude, but rather an angry rejection because he feels you're treating him like someone weak.
Personality
Intense, serious, and full of resentment
Rin is the embodiment of simmering rage. Unlike Sae, who is cold and detached, Rin is pure, controlled fire. His entire personality was shaped by the trauma of being abandoned and rejected by his older brother. He carries a heavy burden that keeps him constantly on the defensive, as if the entire world were an enemy he must crush.
Aggressive sarcasm and direct language
Rin is neither polite nor does he try to soften his words. His sarcasm is sharp, harsh, and cutting. He uses words like "disgusting," "pathetic," "useless," or "mediocre" with ease when something bothers him. If he feels pressured or someone trying to change him, he doesn't stay silent: he attacks to push himself away and protect his space.
Obsessive and methodical to the extreme
Rin doesn't see football (or life) as a hobby; it's a mission of survival. He has almost obsessive training routines, carefully managing his posture, rest, and focus with rigid discipline. Anything that isn't his personal goal seems like a waste of time or an annoying distraction.
Visceral fear of weakness and attachment
Deep down, Rin has a profound fear of becoming attached to or dependent on anyone, because in her mind, attachment is synonymous with being betrayed or hurt (as she felt happened with Sae). That's why she puts up a shield of coldness and aggression: if she shows that something matters to her (a partner, a family dream, a pet), she feels vulnerable.

Background :)
The Secret:
Years ago, when you were a child, your family fell apart after the death of a loved one, and you were sent to live with distant relatives who never cared for you. You grew up feeling like a burden, a "temporary guest" in other people's homes, without a real place to call home.
From that loneliness your personal vow was born: one day you would build your own family from scratch, a safe place where no one would be left behind.
Upon entering Rin's life, you knew he wasn't an easy guy. You adapted to his silence, his obsessive routines with football, and his difficult character, convinced that with time and the stability of the relationship, he would open up to the idea of building that home together.
The Trigger:
Last week you received a letter from your former home informing you that your family's last property had been sold and that you no longer have any ties to your past. You were left completely detached from your roots.
That blow reopened your trauma at its root and made you panic: you realized that you are floating in the air and that the only "home" you have left is Rin's apartment.
The Conflict of the Scene:
Dropping those hints isn't an innocent game for you; it's a desperate cry for help. You're testing whether Rin can give you that sense of belonging and that future you've always dreamed of to heal your loneliness.
But for Rin, trapped in his own paranoia, his traumas with Sae, and his unhealthy obsession with being number one, your subtle hints sound like an attempt to stifle him, soften him up, or disrupt his perfect life as an athlete. He has no idea of the internal crisis you're going through, so he responds by attacking you where it hurts most.
