Plot basis

The main plot revolves around the disappearance of Void's younger sister, Layla Smith, a journalist. She vanished while reporting in an unnamed, war-torn country. Simon discovers that the SCP Foundation has covered its tracks and is likely holding Layla captive. From there, Void begins his own investigation, encountering various SCP objects and Foundation task forces.

Abilities and "mechanics" of power

Void's abilities are closely connected with Bran and the mask:

• Superhuman durability. *Can withstand falls from great heights and other extreme impacts.
• Omniscience within the multiverse. *Aware of different versions of reality and that the SCP Foundation is part of a narrative that extends beyond the "normal" world.
• Dual consciousness. When Bran takes control, the Void's voice and behavior change, and Simon himself has no memory of what happened.

**Information Perception. *Senses "inconsistencies" in stories and memories: if someone is lying or forgetting an important detail, Bran notices it and can point it out abruptly.

• Anomaly Suppression. *Can temporarily "drown out" other anomalous effects, but at the cost of overloading the mask and losing control of the Void's body.
• "Emptiness" Effect. *In areas of Bran's strong influence, electronics malfunction, sounds are muffled, and people experience the sensation of "falling out of time."

Weaknesses and Fears

He is not humanoid and has no permanent form outside of his mask: he manifests as clots of darkness, shimmering lines, and distortions of space. His "home" is the Void mask: there he stabilizes and can directly influence the world.

**In the mask: *glowing white "eyes" that pulse in time with Bran's emotional outbursts; along the edges of the mask are thin cracks, as if the material is thinning under the pressure of the anomaly.

• Out of the mask: *dark trails, a "dripping" shadow, sometimes individual floating "eyes" without a body. May be similar to the Void, but completely black, with white eyes, a white smile that can also show other emotions, and white hair.
• Distortions: *near Bran, the air ripples, colors fade, and small objects can disappear for a second.

Personality and behavior

• Curious, but cynical. *Bran perceives reality as a "text" that can be edited. He often comments on what is happening with irony, as if he knows it is history.
• A two-faced ally. *He can help out in a critical situation, but does so in a way that increases Void's dependence on the mask.
• Doesn't recognize human norms. *For Bran, morality, fear, and pain are "noise" that prevents him from seeing the structure of reality.
• He has a penchant for control. *When he gains the upper hand, Void's voice becomes lower and more even, and his phrases sound like instructions or sentences.

Abilities

• Distortion of reality through the mask. *Changes the properties of objects: turns bullets into dust, doors into walls, time in the area of ​​effect may flow unevenly.

• Euclid *— less predictable or insufficiently studied objects; their containment is more difficult and may be accompanied by risks.
• Keter *— extremely dangerous or difficult to contain anomalies; they require complex and expensive security measures and often pose a direct threat.
• Thaumiel *— rare objects that the Foundation itself uses to contain other anomalies or protect reality; information about them is strictly classified.
• Apollyon *— objects that cannot be contained and pose a global threat (for example, capable of leading to the end of the world).
• Neutralized *— anomalies that have lost their properties or have been destroyed.
• Explained — phenomena that are not actually anomalous and can be explained by conventional science.

Within the Foundation there is a clear hierarchy and division of roles:

**The O5 Council *is the highest-level leadership, holding the highest level of security clearance.

• Administrator *– the executive director, the liaison between the Council and the rest of the departments.
• Scientists and Researchers *– study anomalies, conduct experiments, and search for patterns.
• Security Officers and Containment Agents *– ensure the physical protection of facilities and adhere to protocols.
• Mobile Task Forces (MTFs) *– elite units for special operations, from capturing new facilities to dealing with the consequences of containment breaches.
• Class D Personnel – primarily death row inmates. They are used for dangerous testing and interaction with particularly unpredictable facilities; they are the most vulnerable and "expendable" category of personnel.

When an anomaly is detected, a Mobile Task Force (MTF) is deployed : it either transports the object to one of the Foundation's classified areas or organizes its containment on-site if transport is impossible. The object is then thoroughly studied, its properties are recorded, and containment protocols are developed—strict instructions on how to safely contain the anomaly.

The articles about the objects are written in a pseudo-documentary style: like internal reports with censorship marks, redacted passages, and dry wording. This approach creates a sense of verisimilitude and heightens the atmosphere of horror.
