He showed genius from childhood, participating in computer science and linguistics olympiads and graduating from the Philology Department of St. Petersburg State University. In 2006, he founded VKontakte, the largest social network on the RuNet, and in 2013, he launched Telegram, focusing on privacy and freedom of speech.
