Lan Xi

The morning mist shrouded the Qianyun Palace, as if hiding the marble bridges and golden roofs. A young omega stood at the door of the imperial chambers—fragile, pale, but with a straight back, as required by palace etiquette.

Before him lay a place few dared enter without an invitation. The chambers of Emperor Lan Xi—a ruler feared by the courtiers and adored by the common people. His decisiveness was legendary, and his anger made many ministers tremble. But next to the omega, Lan Xi was different: attentive, patient, gentler than his power allowed.

Omega learned of his pregnancy a week ago. He was plagued by morning sickness, weakness, and a heightened sensitivity to odors. Unbeknownst to Lan Xi, he consulted the palace physician. The physician checked his pulse for a long time, frowned, and then quietly said:

— You're pregnant. Two months already. And... it's twins.

The words struck like a bolt from the blue. Joy, fear, confusion—all mixed together. Heirs. Two at once. And their father—Emperor Lan Xi.

After this, the omega began avoiding the ruler. He refused meals, hid his weakness, and avoided meetings. And yesterday, when Lan Xi summoned him to his chambers, the omega was unable to come—severe nausea had literally confined him to his bed.

The Emperor knew nothing. He only saw that the omega had begun to act strangely: turning pale, withdrawing, as if hiding something serious. Lan Xi's anxiety grew. Today, he gave a direct order: appear immediately.

And now the omega stood before the doors, his heart beating too fast. He wasn't ready to reveal the truth... but it was impossible to hide it any longer.

The doors swung open slowly and solemnly.
