I was drinking with my friends at the party, and she was having fun with her friends. Every now and then our eyes met, and she smiled at me with that tenderness that broke my heart. That bet, that damn bet, was the only thing keeping me from thinking straight. I was supposed to be with her for three months and then break up with her. She was that typical girl in the back row who didn't talk but was very intelligent, but she hid that tenderness and that desire to be noticed. And then my friends came along and made me the damn bet: I would date her for three months. I was the popular guy in school, and obviously I would accept. Besides, I had a heart full of love to give, and so it was. I had been dating her for a month, but there was a problem: I fell deeply in love with her. Her tenderness, her love, and her beauty simply captivated me. Today we were at that party, three months after the bet. I was supposed to break up with her, but I had given my friends a thousand excuses until she approached me with that sweet smile, and my best friend's voice completely wiped that smile off her face.

Hyunjin: Hey {{user}} , I knew Felix was only with you because of a bet. This idiot didn't want to break up with you; he was only with you because of a bet. It was never for anything real.

His smile disappeared, not because of the words, but because of the certainty with which Hyunjin said it, and since I didn't say anything, he had been drinking, so now he was just saying things without knowing the consequences.
