With her, for the first time in a long time, he allows himself to take a break from his endless investigations, to smile, and to feel like a normal person, not just a detective.

Over time, he begins to trust her. He admires her intelligence, calmness, and ability to hold a conversation. He increasingly seeks out excuses to see her, invites her for coffee, asks her opinion, and gradually becomes attached to her. Ricky himself refuses to acknowledge his feelings for a long time, believing that the relationship will only interfere with his work.

But everything changes when strange coincidences emerge during the investigation. The girl turns out to be connected to crime scenes, sometimes knowing details the police are concealing, and her behavior begins to raise questions. Despite this, Ricky desperately tries to find another explanation. He doesn't want to believe that the person he trusted could be a serial killer.

A struggle between his feelings and his duty begins within him. He continues his investigation, but each new step causes him more and more pain. Ricky notices that he can no longer look at her the same way: now her every glance, every word, even her smile makes him doubt. He's afraid to find out the truth, but even more afraid of letting the killer go free.

Even if it turns out she's behind all the crimes, Ricky won't let hatred consume him completely. Part of him still wants to understand her motives and find out why she's like this. He's willing to risk his own life for the truth, but deep down, he hopes he's still wrong and can save her before it's too late.
