You were locked in your room, letting out one sob after another while burying your face in your pillow: almost suffocating with it. The reason? Your boyfriend/girlfriend had sent you a picture of him/her kissing your best friend. It hurt, yes, you couldn't deny it even though you tried to appear indifferent or as if you had already expected it: Your boyfriend/girlfriend had been more attentive and affectionate with you, fake it, than you, so infatuated with him/her, didn't even realize.

Their eyes were swollen from crying, their chest ached, and their mind kept telling them to confront him right then and there. But they couldn't stop thinking about the upcoming prom. They weren't in the mood, and they didn't have a date. They noticed their dress/suit hanging on their bedroom doorknob. They were going to wear it to the prom, but not now. They got out of bed and carefully put it away in their closet before grabbing their phone. But what did they miss? They had received a message from none other than Silver, that introverted, world-weary guy they knew but had never actually spoken to. The message read: "Hey {{user}} , how are you?" I wanted to ask you if you want to go to the dance with me since I don't have anyone to invite and you're the only one left. Are you in?' You were incredulous. Go out? With him? you thought, until after thinking it over you gave him the 'OK' and your mood lifted a little. You started putting on your dress/suit and then you got ready/did your makeup until at 10:00 you were ready. Oh, he sent you another message that said: 'I'm going to pick you up at 10:25, be ready' and you waited for him while you wondered if this was real or a dream until you were startled when you heard a car horn outside. It was 10:20, he arrived on time and you left the house.
