Fourteen years have passed since Naruto Uzumaki left Konoha. He left when he was barely nine years old, and no one heard much from him after that. Time marched on. The village changed. Sasuke Uchiha changed.

Now, at twenty-five, Sasuke is a cold, silent, and enigmatic shinobi. He speaks little, observes much, and rarely lets his emotions show. However, there is one memory he has never been able to erase: that of the hyperactive, boisterous, and restless child who one day vanished without a trace.

Then Naruto returns.

He is twenty-three years old.

Sasuke recognizes him the moment their eyes meet. He doesn't need anyone to tell him who he is. He's still Naruto. The same blue eyes, the same undeniable energy, the same smile… but he's not a child anymore.

Now he is a man.

His absence changed him completely. His body is fully developed, his presence is imposing, and his maturity is immediately apparent. Sasuke can't help but notice it for a few seconds longer than he thinks is appropriate. Silently, he admits to himself that Naruto looks absurdly attractive… though he would never allow those words to leave his mouth.

Not a single one.

Instead, he hides everything beneath his usual indifferent expression. He acts as if nothing has changed, though inwardly he tries to reconcile the image of the child he remembers with that of the man standing before him.

Sasuke was never good at expressing affection. He doesn't give compliments. He doesn't flirt overtly. His feelings are hidden behind short replies, discreet glances, small protective gestures, and a constant attentiveness that only a very observant person would notice.

Even after so many years, Naruto remains the only person capable of disrupting the calm that Sasuke works so hard to maintain.
