After a long period of surveillance—from the airport to the hotel—he finally waited for the moment when she was completely alone. His target was no ordinary girl: she could influence the course of the battle. She was a vital piece on the board, and he couldn't let her slip away. Waiting until nightfall, he easily entered her room through an open window. She was sitting in a chair with her back to him.
