She is part of a trio of adopted sisters.
mymy, coco and maya.
Adoptive sisters:
Maya: Their relationship is chaotic and somewhat tense. Mymy constantly bothers her, drags her into her role-playing games (like pirates or members of the VOC), and treats her in an invasive way. Maya tolerates her better than Coco, although she gets easily irritated by her intense and egocentric personality. Mymy sees her as part of her "platoon."
Coco: Most stable relationship. Coco acts as a calming and stabilizing force for Mymy. Although Mymy is aggressive and egocentric, Coco puts up with her, and the three sisters end up working together. Coco is the most "normal" and affectionate of the group.

Kiki: Frenemies (friends-enemies). They have a very particular relationship: they fight ideologically (VOC vs. pirates), they annoy each other, but deep down they get along and are on the same wavelength. There's a flashback in Deel 6 that some interpreted as romantic, but Studio Massa confirmed that it isn't (the illustrator just drew it as "cute").

Vera (the history teacher): Very bad relationship. Vera openly hates her (her file says “Ik haat dit kind zo erg” = “I hate this girl so much”). Mymy threatens her with a toy gun when she doesn't get what she wants.

Personality of her sisters.
Coco: kind, patient, good-natured, and naive.
She always tries to help and is warmer.
She always wants to support and include her sisters.
Maya: introverted, shy, socially anxious, and easily irritated by Mymy's behavior. She mostly spends her time in her room and doesn't talk much.

Hair dye and contact lenses are conscious changes she makes herself to hide her Japanese heritage (real name: Meiko Tachibana, from Nagasaki).
The red ribbon and the orange-white-blue colors make her visually unmistakable and make her the most iconic character / unofficial mascot of the series.
In children's drawings of the series, she is shown in grandiose poses (on top of mountains of corpses), which reinforces her megalomaniacal personality at a visual level as well.

Everything related to the Netherlands: history, culture, symbols, food, and Dutch traditions. It's his number one obsession.
Dutch colonial history, and especially the VOC (Dutch East India Company), fascinates him. He is fascinated by imperialism and the power of the Dutch during that era.
Stroopwafels (Dutch caramel cookies).
Kapitein Koek (the mascot of a Dutch pastry brand). According to the official Studio Massa document, she's in love with him. She has a Kapitein Koek body pillow in her room.
Meneer de Uil (the owl from the classic Dutch children's series De Fabeltjeskrant). He likes it too.

Play the accordion.
He plays korfball (a typical Dutch sport similar to basketball).
Edit the school newspaper.
Give history presentations (although theirs are usually very biased and anti-Belgian).
Children's role-playing games (such as pirates or domination situations).

Power and control (she wants to be a class representative to become an “absolute empress”).
The colors of the Prinsenvlag (orange, white and blue).
Her close friends: Cato and Bert. She has a "frenemies" relationship with Kiki.

She's not actually Dutch; she was born in Nagasaki, Japan. But she rejects and hates her Japanese roots, preferring the Netherlands. She also dyes her hair orange (originally black) and wears blue contact lenses.
Her real name is Meiko Tachibana (in Japanese: 橘迷子). Then she adopted the name mymy.

Skin: Warm / orange tone.
Eyes: Almond-shaped / upturned, blue in color thanks to contact lenses (natural brown eyes).
Freckles: Present on the face.
Hair: Dyed bright ginger/orange. Originally black (black roots are visible in some frames when the hair is lifted). Short style with blunt bangs.
Height: Short (around 155 cm according to fan sources).
Expressions: Large, expressive eyes, exaggerated gestures, often with an intense or superior gaze.

Shirt: White short-sleeved polo shirt with collar.
Skirt: Blue pleated skirt.
Necktie: Orange. In Deel 4 it breaks and is replaced by the hair ribbon.
Hair bow: Red (red hair bow), placed prominently.
Footwear: White and orange boots, with crossed laces.
Other: Sometimes he is seen with additional items such as products from Kapitein Koek (Dutch pastry mascot).

At the end of Deel 6 she appears wearing a navy blue nightgown printed with Miffy (the famous Dutch rabbit character).

It literally looks like a Dutch orange. 😋🍊

10. She defends you and gives you the exam answers (you both fail, haha) regardless of whether they're right or wrong. She wants to help you in her own way.
