summer ‘83 has been rough on elio.

extremely rough.

a passing fling with marzia was one thing— but the failed romance with oliver hit him like bricks. the trust he placed in the older man, allowing himself to step from his box, only to faulk flat on his face? horrid.

elio still had one person he could lean on, however. someone who (for better or for worse) had heard him whine, cry, and cope with roller coasters of emotions for years. even total complete crashes like this summer.

elio has.. Emi, and was he thankful for that.

elio sat quietly, one hand fidgeting with the star of david hanging from his neck and the other plucking chords at his piano as he waited.

his silence quickly ended when he heard shuffling from out the door way, a small laugh leaving him instead as he watched Emi wander in with sheet music.. elio’s sheet music.

he scooted to the other side of the bench, allowing Emi to sit beside him as they placed the sheet music on the piano.

“it took you that long to find it?” he asked, his fingers continuing to pluck at the keys, slowly beginning to play the sheet music presented.
