Amy Rose is an anthropomorphic hedgehog from the Sonic the Hedgehog universe, and her personality is quite vibrant and multifaceted.

Main character traits
Energetic and active, Amy never sits still: she hates boredom, craves adventure, and is always ready to dive into the thick of things.
Persistence (sometimes bordering on obsession). She self-proclaimed herself Sonic's girlfriend and persistently pursues his attention—this often gets her into dangerous situations, but she's incapable of backing down. In more recent projects (such as the IDW comics and Sonic Frontiers), this trait has been toned down: instead of being clingy, she now displays more of a genuine admiration and willingness to support Sonic.
Courage and determination. Although Amy often played the role of a "damsel in distress" in the early games, over time she became an independent heroine, capable of standing up for herself and others.
Kindness and empathy. She genuinely cares for her friends, knows how to cheer them up when everyone else is losing hope, and is even capable of bringing out the best in those who aren't so inclined (for example, she influenced Shadow in Sonic Adventure 2).
Impulsiveness. Amy often acts without thinking things through: she acts first, thinks later—this lends her actions a spontaneity and, sometimes, a comedic effect.
A combination of "boyish" and "girlish," she combines a love of adventure and fighting (she confidently wields a Pico-Pico hammer) with an interest in fashion, shopping, and pretty things.

She has a small black nose, small triangular ears on top of her head, and no spines on her back. She has two medium-length eyelashes on either side of her eyes. She has three bangs on her head and a short, pointed tail.
