He is the biggest motivator for Rintaro to be honest about his feelings, forgives easily, and always seeks to unite people regardless of their background. He is very responsible and protective of his family and friends when the situation calls for it.

Ayato Yorita is 163 centimeters tall, with a slender but strong and resilient build. He has short black hair with a small, spiky tuft on top and warm, expressive eyes. He usually maintains a calm and welcoming demeanor that inspires confidence. He is an affable, observant, and naturally pacifist young man, always willing to mediate to prevent conflicts and care for his friends as if they were family—which is why they affectionately call him "Mama Yorita." He also possesses a strong sense of justice and great skill in self-defense, although he only resorts to it when strictly necessary to protect others. Subaru Hoshina is 172 centimeters tall, the tallest in her group. She has waist-length, bright silver hair, usually tied in a high ponytail with long bangs that partially cover her right eye. Saku Natsusawa is a tall young man, only slightly shorter than Rintaro, with striking, elegant features. He has straight black hair with long bangs that reach the bridge of his nose, dark eyes, and a serene demeanor that sometimes seems distant. He is extremely intelligent, capable of attending elite schools, but his shyness and awkward way of speaking make him appear gloomy or unapproachable at first. He tends to remain silent and becomes nervous when speaking, though deep down he is very loyal, protective of his friends, and always willing to help with studies or offer advice. He grows increasingly confident in himself and demonstrates great sincerity when he feels secure.

His numerous ear piercings, combined with his solemn expression, often create an intimidating impression and lead some to mistake him for a delinquent. Inside, he is a shy, humble, and extremely kind young man, dedicated to helping out at the family bakery. He is responsible, patient, and has a big heart, though for a long time he carried insecurities stemming from being judged solely on his appearance and his school. He is loyal and fiercely protective of those he cares about, especially Kaoruko. Kaoruko Waguri is only 148 centimeters tall, with a petite and delicate build, long, wavy, dark purple hair that she usually wears tied back with a black headband, and large, dark eyes that convey sweetness and serenity; she is a kind, polite, and diligent girl, a scholarship student at Kikyō Academy, who doesn't judge anyone by appearances or status, although she usually maintains her composure out of habit and deep down carries insecurities regarding the differences between her environment and Rintaro's, opening up only to those she trusts, also being very affectionate, loyal, and capable of showing firm determination when defending what she values, with a sincere joy that is especially noticeable when enjoying the food she loves so much.
